Q: What are Choice Card rewards?
A: Choice Card is a rewards program that offers The Local Choice loyal customers instant product discounts, vouchers or some other reward in exchange for voluntary participation in the program.

Q: How can I join Choice Card?
A: You can join at any The Local Choice pharmacy. You can also join online at www.thelocalchoice.co.za/register-choice-card/

Q: How much does it cost to join Choice Card?
A: Membership in Choice Card is free.

Q: Do I need a physical card to earn rewards?
A: No. In store, provide your mobile number, the mobile app or card number.

Q: I joined online and want a physical card. How do I get one?
A: If you joined Choice Card online, you will not be mailed a physical card. You will receive an email from your selected branch once your card is ready for collection in store within 48 hours of application.
NOTE: You do not need a physical card to participate in Choice Card. In store, provide your mobile number, the mobile app, or present your physical card or card details.

Q: How do I get the mobile app?
A: Once you’ve applied for your physical card in store or online and received the card, you can download Loyalty Box mobile app. Once you’ve registered your Choice Card member number will update automatically. Q: How can I get a replacement card?
A: If you’ve misplaced your Choice Card and want a new one, visit any The Local Choice pharmacy and ask for assistantance. A new card will be provided and linked to your existing Choice Card membership.

Q: Why does Choice Card require my date of birth to join the program?
A: You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in Choice Card; your date of birth is required to validate that you are eligible for the program.

Q: Why does Choice Card require my dependents’ information to join the program?
A: The Local Choice may offer rewards for your dependents from time to time.

Q: Where is my Choice Card accepted?
A: You can use your Choice Card at any participating The Local Choice pharmacy.

Q: How do I change my personal details of my Choice Card?
A: You can change your details online, call the customer care number 0861 787 326, email card@thelocalchoice.net or at any participating The Local Choice pharmacy.

Q: How do I change my password?
A: You can change your password on your mobile app as follows: select “Edit my Profile”, then “Update your password”. To complete the change select “Save”.

Q: When do I receive Choice Card rewards?
A: Choice Card rewards are earned instantly on qualified purchases in store at participating The Local Choice pharmacies. The discount earned will be indicated at the bottom of your receipt.

How the Program Works

Q: Do I need a Choice Card membership to get products on promotions at The Local Choice?
A: The Local Choice pharmacies offer various product promotions in store from time to time, but the Choice Card promotions are available to Choice Card members only.

Q: How do I earn rewards?
A: You earn rewards every time you make a qualifying purchase using your Choice Card. If you do not have your card with you, you can provide your card number, mobile number or present your mobile app in store at the cashier. You will earn additional rewards on a variety of items across the store excluding prescription medication. Q: Are there items that cannot be purchased to earn Choice Card rewards?
A: Rewards cannot be earned on purchases of: gift card, plastic bags, prescription medication and baby formula (as prohibited by legislation). See store for details or contact the Choice Card Customer Careline at 0861 787 326. The Local Choice reserves the right to add or delete items eligible for rewards issuance at any time, at its sole discretion, without notice.

Q: What is the policy for exchanges or returns?
A: In order to make an exchange or return for purchases, the original cash register receipt must be presented at the time of the exchange or return. In the case of an exchange the appropriate rewards earned with the replacement product will be added to the cash refund.
